THE ONLY REASON I GIVE THIS 5 BOLTS IS THE LUNT-FONTANNE WAS REALLY ONE OF IF NOT THEE COOLEST INDOOR PLACES I SAW GARCIA'S BAND. AS FAR AS THE MUSIC I DUG IT FOR WHAT IT WAS BUT OUT OF ALL THE SHOWS I CAUGHT AT THE LUNT-FONTANNE THERE WAS NOT THAT MUCH VARIETY AT ALL. I MEAN THE SOUND WAS GREAT, THERE WAS NOT A BAD SEAT THIS PLACE WAS SO FREAKING SMALL. MAYBE I AM FROM THE OLD SCHOOL YA KNOW SITTIN' IN LIMBO,WICKED MESSENGER,RHAPSODY IN RED,POSITIVELY 4TH ST,THE TOUCH I LIKE,BUT I CAN'T TRASH JERRY'S BAND AND I NEVER WILL... I MEAN BACK IN THE DAY WHEN JERRY PLAYED EARLY AND LATE SHOWS IT WAS KILLER. WHEN JERRY GOT TIRED OF PLAYIN WITH THE DEAD IN LIKE 1990 THE ONLY TIME HE ENJOYED PLAYING IT WAS IN HIS BAND IT WAS MORE THAN OBVIOUS. GIVE US MORE OF THE LEGION OF MARY PLEASE

The Like a Road and Mission in the Rain are gorgeous - magical takes. Everything else I felt was par or sub-par. Peggyo

This is a fantastic set of three disks. I love the Acoustic. I love the crowd, it in no way distracts from the awsome tunes.Nothing like turning on the surround sound and listening to Jerry jam out. Just like I'm right there center stage. We bought all 5 Pure Jerry and think we got an incredable deal. Keep it comming. Thank You

It use to be we looked all over for jerry Garcia records at second hand shops and the Pacific Northwest seemed like a bad place we didn't have big crowds just real cool ones who loved the music. This CD is real good stuff that I hope to have for along time.

Great venue, great show(s), great vibe, mediocre sound. Not the best sounding set, and you can hear the wear and tear on Jerry's voice. These comments reflect both JGB on Broadway releases. FWIW, I couldn't afford tickets, nor could I get any, at the time of the original shows, but I'm sure glad I can experience it third person 20yrs. down the pipe.
